Tinkerers who like to brighten up their PC cases with lighted parts will flock to the Saitek Eclipse, a keyboard that gives off a cool blue light that looks great and lets you work in dark rooms. For the rest of us, the Eclipse doesn't have much to offer. It has neither media keys nor a scroll wheel, and the keys felt stiff in our testing. You can adjust the wrist rest to fit flat against the keyboard or to stick out a bit, but it's hard plastic and has too steep an incline. The keyboard lighting has two levels that you can control, but we wish it had an automatic light sensor like the one on an Apple PowerBook, so that the light switched on automatically.
