Upcoming road work on Candlers Mountain Road to Route 460 West: VDOT

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — VDOT crews said they will address some erosion at Candlers Mountain Road on the ramp to Route 460 West in Lynchburg.

VDOT said this work will shore up the road and prevent further damage from occurring.

According to VDOT, the repair will require the temporary closure of the ramp from Candlers Mountain Road to Route 460 West.

The work will take place from 7 p.m., on Wednesday to 7 a.m. on Thursday, VDOT said.

A detour will be in place, sending traffic south on Candlers Mountain Road prior to the ramp and connecting with Route 460 West at Evans Boulevard, VDOT said.

VDOT said signs will be in place to alert drivers of the temporary traffic pattern adjustment.
