Jonathan May joined the ABC4 News team in July 2023 as a multimedia journalist.
Born in Magnolia, Texas, Jonathan moved to Logan, Utah, where he started his broadcast journalism education as a sophomore at Utah State University. That’s when he learned how to report, edit, and work a camera. He then landed his first job in his Broadcast Journalism career as the weekend editor at ABC4. He’s happy to be returning to the station where it all started.
Jonathan graduated from USU in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Religious Studies. He then moved to Bozeman Montana weeks after graduating to start his broadcast journalism career at NBC Montana.
In 2021 Jonathan won the award for in-depth television reporting issued by the Society of Professional Journalists. And In 2023 he won the Runner Up award for daily news report from the Montana Broadcasters Association.
In Jonathan’s free times, he loves to watch sports, go explore the outdoors and enjoy his free time with friends and family.
