About this Item
204 pages (complete). A placid, casually owned copy of this rarely encountered Wesleyan history of the Bechuana people. The green boards are worn, scuffed, mildly bubbled from storage, marked by handling and storage. Nonetheless, the boards are steady and comfortable. Within, the frontispage has an inscription from the Foreign Missionary Committee of the John Street, Wesleyan Church in Glasgow (not only was the missionary movement utterly dependent on the Scottish Wesleyan churches, the John Street church was most important in the organisation of the 'movement'). The contents are contents are a little aged. They have user wear and marks from use and storage, some few age-related foxing spots. The guttering along the preface page is cracked, but the security of the book is unaffected. The pages are clean, clear, benign, benevolent, conscientious, more than competent. fk.
