ABG Biotech is a biotechnology company located in San Diego, USA. It was founded in 2019 by Dr. Shan, a veteran of the biotech industry with over 30 years of experience in making biologics for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. We currently offer over 500 products in three categories: Recombinant Proteins, Antibodies, and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) ELISA. All Products are made here in San Diego and are available for research use only.

ABG Biotech has the technical capabilities to express different recombinant proteins using E. coli, insect cells, and mammalian cells. Our core technology platform is to express recombinant proteins in insect cells, especially to express whole recombinant antibodies in monoclonal insect cells. Most companies currently use CHO and HEK293 cells for expression of recombinant antibodies. Compared to these traditional cell lines, insect cells can continue growing in much higher cell density (>100 x million cells/ml).  Insect cells also have the advantages of cheaper medium and growing without any incubators. All of these advantages contribute to a much lower cost of expressing recombinant protein in insect cells.

ABG Biotech applies its core technology platform in five areas: large-scale production of recombinant antibodies, developing Humanized Chimeric Antibodies, and expression of disease target proteins for therapeutics, vaccines, and virus-like particles.
