so...FX airguns???

I read so little about the whole FX airguns lawsuit / whatever it is, really no idea what exactly is going on with wall that. but im looking to get an FX airgun with my tax returns, should I be concerned? or does this have nothing to do with that at all? any help would be greatly appreciated as I have little to no idea what's going on with all that :)

My Terrus stock just snapped !

it just snapped when cocking it,poor grain direction .I did my repair and decided to modify the crappy pressed checkering. I hadn't stippled in 10 plus years so its not my best ,but I really didn't care for the original. I still have to finish the stock ,the stippling was a test.

FX  Dreamline Crown Barrel Cosmetics

Those of you that have owned a Dreamline and a Crown Mk 2 at the same time know that you can use your Dreamline barrels in your Crown - they just look a little “skinny” in the Crown.

Bullet Central sells a Carbon Fiber shroud in 500, 600 and 700mm lengths.

This shroud lets you slide your Dreamline barrel inside it. The BC carbon shroud is threaded 1/2 UNF internally, so you screw your Dreamline shroud into the muzzle end of the BC carbon fiber shroud using the Dreamline barrel’s moderator threads.

BC shroud is Super simple, super solid, weighs nothing and looks pretty.

Since I have 3 Dreamline 600mm barrels (.22, .25 and .30), I can use the same BC Carbon Fiber shroud with all three barrels screwing off one barrel and onto another Takes less than 60 seconds.

The BC shroud is not cheap at $115, and its just cosmetic… but I thought it was pretty enough that I splurged. I’m normally a function over form type of guy, but heck my Crown shot a 200 at the 40 Yard Challenge, so she deserves a little dress up, lol.

Crosman  2240 hpa conversion question

I have had my 2240 for years, and every now and then I tinker with set up changing various things looking to improve performance etc. This time I used a "safepac" style pcp conversion, and did some work on the valve port for improved flow. All things have gone fairly well, but now I need to get a stronger hammer spring. At a full air charge the chrony numbers start low as the current spring does not hit hard enough to release enough air against max pressure. After about 5 shots the numbers climb, the accuracy dials in, and then goes back the other way once the overall pressure in the reservoir drops. I see there are hammer spring kits with as many as 4 different wire guages. If any of you have been down this road, what spring did you settle as the ideal set up for complete release at full pressure? Thanks in advance

Air Venturi  Avenge X: inconsistent FPS

Having a bit of an issue with my Avenge-x (.22 with carbon fiber bottle) I'm hoping that maybe someone here knows what is going on.

I was shooting some a few days ago and I was getting a little below 890fps. I tried shooting again today (without touching any settings and with the same ammo) and I'm getting 860fps. Normally I would chalk this up to differences in weather, but that seems like quite a drastic change in fps.
The gauges seem to be reading all correctly, so I'm thinking it might be the hammer spring is starting to wear. I wanted you guy's opinion before getting a replacement, although I might get one anyways they don't seem that expensive.

My settings are:
2500psi on reg
+7.5 turns on the HS
TP set to High
Shooting JTS Domed (25.39gr)

HW/Weihrauch  First Day Shooting New HW30S

I’ve had to ask the forum quite a few questions to get to this stage and I thank all those that took the time to give me advice. I don’t know anyone with an air rifle so I’m very indebted to this group of guys and forum. My setup is the HW30S with a HAWKE 2-7x32 Vantage AO. I have cheap Target Match single screw mounts med height, not even a recoil pin 🫤 (that‘s all I could find and it will do for now until my store gets a nice one piece in). Pellets today were H&N Field Target Trophy 4.5mm 8.64 grn. My gun, out of the box, zeroed at 20 yards. It took about 20 shots to zero (forgot to adjust the parallax in my first 3 shots😂). This is my last 2 - 5 shot groups. Both can be covered with a dime and my last on the right, 3 pellets through the same hole. I’m an old geezer that had lense replacement surgery for cataracts 3 months ago. Powder burner for 50 years. This is going to be much fun! Better late than never! Beyond my expectation results. What distances do other .177 HW30/R7 normally shoot for targets?

Pellet management thing-a-ma-jig

I don't have enough room to dedicate space to pellet storage and am always moving tins out of the way or working around them, so I made this little two-sided storage/organizer. I can see what I've got, easily select a tin or push the whole lot aside. Glued and screwed, it's plenty strong even if not "furniture grade" fit and finish, lol. The bare wood slides on my carpeted work area. If it were a hard work surface I'd use carpet tape and secure a piece of carpet to the underside or put little casters on it.

N/A  What is the most worldwide spread airgun?

Hi lads, seeing how NOBODY has downloaded my gk1 perfected mod:

Despite being awesome and ultra-affordable, I came to the conclusion that.. maybe not manny people have both a GK1 V1 and a 3d printer to begin with... so... maybe I need to focus on doing something for a more worldwide spread airgun.

The initial guns that come to mind are the 2240 and the diana chaser, how many of you have one of those? Do you know about a even more popular air pistol?
I know the 2240 is more owned, but I also think that maybe the chaser is prefered for younger shooters that also are more into 3d printing.

The design of my "cheapo" (3d printed, 23cm long, single or double action, 12 shoot pcp pistol) is completed for almost 2 months, but I think that will occur the same that happened with de GK1 perfected mod, I have to count on people willing to purchase an e-bay pcp conversor for the 2240, + a cheap gamo barrel that aparently is not available on the states... So... Nobody is gonna download it.

With a bit of work, I could adapt the ideas and design to make the same but using the 2240 or the chaser has the base, you will have a 3d mod that turns the gun into a double (with really long and hard trigger) action or single action (short and nice pre-loaded pull) 12 shot revolver. Thar may sell much better, no need for extra equipment, e-bay chinesse parts or crappy barrels not available in most countries.

Would you pay 10 bucks to turn your 2240 or chaser into such revolver?

What features do you like it to have?

Are you aware of an equally popular airgun that everyone has?

N/A  FWB 120/124Dw

Got a visit from my friend Mike yesterday afternoon on a blustery New England day. He was carrying a very rare and special airgun....an FWB 120.

Now I'm sure some of you have never heard of an F120. Not surprising as they were made 50 plus years ago!! They are a product of a man named Robert Law from the former Air Rifle Headquarters in West Virginia.
He used a tuned FWB 124 action as the base gun. He then produced a very interestingly shaped Walnut rifle stock for it. The stock is "ergonomically" designed.....function over form. This gives it a distinctive look.
This particular rifle was a labor of love by Mike. The action is an FWB 127 and was tuned by Scott Blair from Airguntunes.com. He did a wonderful job with the tune. The rifle shoots with a thunk and no vibration. Truly an amazing result!
The stock was finished by Paul Watts. He did a tremendous job on the checkering and finish. What excellent craftsmanship!!
Take a look for yourself. Unfortunately, the 3D quality of this Walnut isn't captured by my camera. To see it in person is really the only way to fully appreciate this functional work of art.

Next to it is one of my old Factory Walnut stocked FWB 124Ds. A plain Jane next to the 120.

Here's a quick picture for your perusal.
Enjoy!

Diana  Diana 75 HV

After JEFFPPC gave me the report on his Diana 75, I decided to begin my search for one. I lucked out and CT Airguns had just picked one up! It needs seals, but for a 40+ year old rifle it is in great shape.

Thank you JEFFPPC for the tip on the D75, and CT Airguns for having one available.

I’m looking forward to getting this old classic back on the range.

AEA  Insane pump-action PCP

Not a big fan of AEAs semi-auto lineup and I have no experience with their bolt-actions, but this pump-action Megalodon looks like a beast. 400ft-lb. .50 cal. 8 round mags. It's a proper shotgun, I mean.. damn. No price or release date yet as far as I'm aware. In fact, this seems to be the only video that exists of it so far.

The english presentation starts at 15:30:

22 vs 25

Just getting into PCP guns and starting the search and first hurdle is figuring out caliber. .22 or .25.
Looking at cost and pellet selection and accuracy potential and anything I might have overlooked.
Right now I don't see any hunting just target shooting and maybe down the road some competition.
Right now I see target shooting consisting of 25 to 100 yards and maybe some longer ranges to just have some fun plinking long range targets.
I know there are probably lots of discussions about this here already but things change pretty fast so I thought I would bring it up again.
Thanks in advance and doing lots of research on what gun I want/need  but until I figure out the caliber I can't really start shopping for a rifle.

X files

I have been re-watching the x files, in three of episodes I watched I noticed they used air guns. This afternoon while watching iron giant with grandson, Hogarth also used an airgun, it made me wonder how many other films/ tv shows featured airguns.

Here are a few I remember…

Dr No
Octopussy
Lock stock and two smoking barrels
Train spotting
Mr Bean

Trouble with Arken Zulus set-up

I received my new Arken Zulus a few days ago. As others had previously mentioned (so not really a surprise), it came without the rechargeable battery. I went to Batteries Plus this morning and purchased the required 18650 series lithium rechargeable battery. The brand name on the package is "Ultralast." The battery is too long and won't let the retaining cap threads engage. I have tried everything I know to try. It is simply too long. For reference, it measures 2.707" or 68.83 mm. So now I am out $40 additional dollars and still not able to power up my optic.

For those of you that have had success, please advise as to the battery brand you are using and if possible, its length, to help me diagnose this issue.

Additionally, for those contemplating ordering one of these, it does not come with the micro sd card either.
