I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this book -- it is funny, yet full of really good ideas and information. I also can't imagine anyone NOT needing some of these helpful hints, no matter how organized they think they are. There are useful ideas for all types of folks from incurable 'collectors' to neat freaks. We got the biggest kick out of how things are written and presented. In fact, I ordered three more of these books to give to family and friends. They loved it! It's a keeper...you could go back to this book in ten years and find the ideas and information still as useful as it is today. And it's fun to read, besides.

Can you teach an old dog new tricks? What if the "old dog" is actually a 57 yr old woman? I NEVER thought I could change, yet hope within led me to continue buying books on the subject of clutter. Then came this book, and by page 4, I became a new person. This author changed everything. What I previously had to force myself to do, I now cannot stop from doing!!! It is now so easy! I just can't believe the transforming power of this wonderful book! I've already purchased a dozen copies for friends, and I am receiving the very same feedback from them. I'd love to hear the author speak to our staff. So many people have clutter issues. They won't after reading this book.

This book Clutter's Last Stand deflates all your excuses and inspires you to get rid of your junk. It's sort of old-school with pen and ink drawings, the kind of quaint book you would find at a gift shop, but it's lots of fun. I bought myself a copy after an older version got passed around at work...everyone wanted to read this.

I'm telling you this book freed me of cluttering my life. I was already working on it and have read several other books about this. But I consider this book a real life practical instruction book , full of wise info, anecdotes and examples. Finally I found an amazingly useful book that really told me HOW to de clutter step by step. And I finally get it!!!! Now I fell I can get a grasp on keeping up with all the paper and junk that comes in. In many parts of the book I felt the author was talking just to me and knew everything about me!! I have had my own yard sale, brought"stuff" to a friend's yard sale and given/donated 2 hatchback car loads of stuff in the past 30 days! This book is the best!

It was written from a man’s point of view. It really was not very helpful for dealing with clutter. There are better books with better ideas on the market.

I have read many many of Don Aslett's books, and he is an amazing motivator if you want to dejunk your life. He is very funny with his tales of junkers and really helps clutters like me emotionally get rid of our junk. I wish this book was in kindle form, so I could have this book with me all the time, because it is really an AWESOME book. I had to settle with How to Lose 200 pounds in a Weekend, but that's still really motivating so I'll take it. Read this book if you want to declutter, it's the best one out there and I've read many!

Don Aslett, a cleaning expert who built a housekeeping service empire, doesn't soften the blow about decluttering. He openly mocks consumerism, doesn't look at neurological or psychological foundations for cluttering behaviors, and puts the responsibility for cluttering squarely on the clutterer's shoulders, no excuse-making allowed. So he is going to make some people ANGRY. He is going to hurt other people's feelings. Many people will NOT find him funny (I did, but I have a broad-ranging sense of humor. I enjoy everything from desert-dry British wit to 13 clowns in a tiny car).

That may be exactly why everyone should read Clutter's Last Stand. Mr. Anslett does require honesty from his readers. Honesty is an extremely valuable tool for someone who is decluttering. Those who enjoy his humor will have that benefit; those who get angry will have that incentive; those who get hurt will have the starting-point of interpreting why, and can look at how to let go of that hurt to move ahead. And everyone will get some practical advice on the how-to's of releasing items from their possession.

Haven't read it yet but have read Don Aslett's first book and loved that one so hope this one is good. Ironic that more books create 'clutter' but the rest of the house is looking good!
