As a young boy I often found myself writing about this subject or that one. Raised in a household filled with any sort of periodicals. Readers Digest, Motortrend, Variety, and The Encyclopedia Britannica were often found with my head buried inside, reading something that caught my interest. Growing up as the son of an author and composer, BB Johnson AKA Joseph Greene (Together Brothers, Across the Alley from the Alamo) and the son of a trailblazer, Marthella Wilson Greene (Chairman of the Board Cal Tech Federal Credit Union, Audit Coordinator JPL). With a strong foundation, I believed that writing was in my blood and began to fulfill my dream as an author.

With a wide range of interest, I was drawn towards cartels, crime, and drugs. I didn’t complete my first serious undertaking until I was in my early teens. Subsequently, I gave my prized literary achievement to my father’s friend, Saul David (Director; Logan’s Run and Fantastic Voyage) to get an honest critique. He was intrigued but wasn’t overwhelmed. I will never forget his words. “I want to be able to taste the characters,” he exclaimed. That critique sent my life into a whole other direction, putting down the pen in the pursuit of entering the world that I wrote about.

I spent years involved in all sorts of illegal activities. Soon I found myself in and out of jail, in an endless cycle that there was no escape from. The only thing that was constant throughout my journey was me writing.

This is the second novel for this author and it is amazing. Taking place in one of my favorite cities New Orleans where the main character Briscoe De Valls comes to town to solve a mystery to solve for the Le Fleur family. Once I started to read I couldn't stop. Excellent detail and well written. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Paladin is definitely an intriguing story. I love a good murder mystery. This story takes you into great detail of each character and puts you right there with them for the ride. All the different twists and turns that come from each family is a thrill that definitely makes you want each to have their own stories. I look forward to what’s to come from the author.

This story takes place in Louisiana. What a great place for a story like this. From the food, the music, and the culture, Louisiana is rich in all these aspects. The first chapter starts off great. It sets the characters and story line. The action starts right from the beginning. Can't wait to read the next chapter.
