Pascal Moguérou

Pascal Moguérou was born on October 7, 1961 in Morlaix, Brittany. Very young, little Pascal knows what he will do with his life: he will be a hunter of crickets and ... mushrooms! Unfortunately, despite a great success with trout fishermen, he quickly realizes that the collection of Basidiomycetes does not feed his man. After many odd jobs as diverse as they were rewarding, it was almost by chance that, in his late thirties, he became an illustrator. A music booklet in the colors of a blue-green like the sea (Glaz in Breton) that he dresses with his inspired illustrations will be enough to put his foot in the stirrup! His first book "Légendes et contes de Bretagne" at Coop Breizh, a Breton publishing house, becomes premonitory; it will never cease to illustrate the legends and the fantastic beings that abound in its granite land. In several publishing houses (Coop Breizh editions, Fleuve Noir editions SF Legend collection, Anchor de Marine editions) and in very different genres, he creates dozens of covers for fantasy novels, drama and various tales. Within the editions "Au Bord des Continents", he signed "the Korrigans and others Bugale an Noz" which will become a real bestseller and a reference in Brittany. Title after title, he thus builds up a very personal fairy-tale universe where humor and fantasy mingle. Lover of comics since his earliest childhood, it is with undisguised pleasure that he signs in 2012 "The Fabulous Abéféedaire Farfelu", his latest book published by Lombard, a prestigious house which has hosted so many legendary names from the comics!... May 2017, sees the release in bookstores "Sombres Féeries" at the Lombard editions, his new richly illustrated book, where he explores this time, through multiple stories, the darkest aspects of the Féerie ... in 2019, he returns to writing with stories that deal with the fantastic creatures of his beloved land: Brittany. "The beautiful illustrated album of the legends of Brittany", intended for a younger audience, is a great success! In 2021, the "Book of Sketches of Dragons" announces the second volume of the beautiful illustrated albums: "the legends of Dragons"! We can bet that he will meet with the same welcome!
