If you were one of the world’s most distinguished fashion designers, wouldn’t you want to live among your own creations? For Giorgio Armani, the answer to that question is yes, according to the NY Post. Reports are that Armani will own a unit inside the Giorgio Armani Residences in New York City, a luxury condominium building set to open in 2024. The condos will sit atop the designer’s flagship Madison Avenue fashion boutique, which occupies the first three floors of the building (how convenient!).

AD could not confirm which unit the Italian tastemaker will occupy, though we do know that five of the building’s 10 residences have already been sold. Per the listing held by Douglas Elliman brokers Sabrina Saltiel and Madeline Hult Elghanayan, it seems like the penthouse is still on the market. A 4,869-square-foot duplex which includes multiple private terraces will be located on the 11th and 12th floors of the building. If Armani choses this unit for himself, a private elevator will usher him directly into the foyer of the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom condo. The expansive living area will be flooded with light from eight-foot windows and boasts 10-foot ceilings.

As one might expect from the luxury designer, the materials featured inside the units are some of the finest, with white oak and beige Gascongne limestone flooring, Quarzo Bianco stone, and honed Bardiglio Imperiale Blue marble scattered throughout. Other highlights of the apartment include a full-height wine storage unit in the chef’s kitchen, a media room, laundry area, secondary bedrooms with ensuite-bathrooms and private balconies, and a dramatic sculptural staircase and an elevator connecting both floors.
