Mila Kunis is not alright with returning for more ’90s Show

Say goodbye to Kelso and Jackie, but brace yourself for a severe infusion of Seth Green

Mila Kunis isn’t returning to Wisconsin to put a foot in dumbass Eric’s ass. The third Meg Griffin told ‌ET that she and Ashton Kutcher are not appearing on the next season of That ‘90s Show. After she and her husband “did our thing” and “introduced our son in the show,” she’s getting the hell out of the Midwest.

Kunis and Kutcher made a guest appearance on That ’90s Show’s pilot episode last year, essentially, as she told ET, introducing her son and getting the hell out of dodge. But that goodwill from the original cast clearly meant a lot to the show. No one wants a repeat of That ‘80s Show, the ’70s Showspin-off that starred and wasted Glenn Howerton. So Netflix made sure Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp would show up for 11 episodes to call their grandkids dumbasses. Much of the original cast showed up for a couple of episodes, such as Wilmer Valderrama and Laura Prepon, who popped up for three, and Topher Grace, who also did an episode and split. Grace had a Mel Gibson-directed Mark Wahlberg movie to appear in.

To be clear, the live studio audience loved seeing these two. The pair gets two minutes of screentime to explain they’re leaving the show to get remarried, exiting their son Jay’s life entirely. It’s all alright. It’s all alright.

Kunis didn’t have the heart to explain the real reason she won’t be returning: That ‘90s’ Plotholes. As she put it before the show premiered, her character Jackie and Kutcher’s Kelso “shouldn’t have been” together on ‘90s Show because the original series ended with Jackie and Fez (Valderrama) together.

“I called BS. I was like, ‘My character would be with Fez,’” she said in 2022. “I think that I ended up with Wilmer’s character. And I was like, ‘Why are [Kelso] and I together?’ And also, Kelso was married when [That ‘70s Show] ended to Shannon Elizabeth’s character, I think.”

Of course, as we all know, Kelso never married Brooke, a.k.a. Shannon Elizabeth’s character. He fathered a daughter with her and, at the end of the series, moved to Chicago to be closer to his child. She is right about Fez, though. Jackie and Fez kiss in the finale.

While Kunis won’t be back, Seth Green, standing right next to his Family Guy co-worker when ET posed the initial question, announced he had already filmed an episode and is returning for more. Green reprised the role of season five and six villain Mitch Miller. As of press time, we haven’t determined if this character was a “fan favorite” or not. Nevertheless, consider yourself warned, ’90s fans, Mitch Miller will return.
