Mythologie vs Popkultur
For my bachelor thesis I wrote and designed a book on the influence of ancient greek mythology on the way we tell stories in pop culture. It contains an overview of some of the greek gods, who they were, what they were famous for and their pop cultural counterparts as well as three myths I recounted in detail and compared to the classics of pop culture.
To underline the timelessness of the old stories and their influence on pop culture, I illustrated them with collages and memes, because I believe the internet community and fan art in any way, shape or form play a big part in what turns a modern story from just a movie, series, book or game into a pop cultural classic.
