Andrea Corr wows the fans with star appeal

Back again: Andrea Corr is singing again with her family

By Eddie McIlwaine

Radiant Andrea Corr doesn't look a day older than she did 22 years ago when she and her family group cut their first album Forgiven, Not Forgotten.

To charm their fans all over again The Corrs - the others are Jim, Sharon and Caroline - have just released their seventh album Jupiter Calling.

Andrea at 43 looks just as youthful today as she did back in 1988 when she sang and played tin whistle on Talk On Corners as well as doing the vocals.

And she is delighted to hear that fans are showing their appreciation for the return of The Corrs to the limelight after a 10 year break away from showbiz.

The Corrs are also still involved in philanthropic activities. They have performed in numerous charity concerts everywhere including The Prince's Trust. Andrea and the others have been awarded honorary MBEs for their contribution to music and charity.

When their mother Jean died in the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, Andrea, Caroline, Sharon and Jim showed their appreciation for the way she was treated by performing a concert at which more than £100,000 was raised and used to extend a centre at the Freeman for research. The city of Newcastle presented them a limited edition painting of Tyneside's quayside in return.
