The V65 Magna was a significant addition to the Honda line up for a number of reasons. It took the 2 year old V-4 design to a new size and speed possibility. For the first three years of it’s existance (1983-’85) the big Magna was listed by Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest production motorcycle in the world with a top speed of 173 mph.

The V-4 configuration had come from the Honda Racing division and was soon found to be incredibly smooth and long lasting. The Magna was water cooled and shaft driven with a six speed transmission which was bound to turn the industry on it’s ear. Multiple Honda models were to come from this configuration of motor and drive which gave Honda a leg up in the industry.

This bike is very typical of the first big Magnas. It’s a fairly low mileage original that should have another 100,000 miles left in it. An affordable opportunity to go fast and long.
