Producer of big bikes with lovely, torquey V-Twin engines, Guzzi is best known for cruisers and standard bikes. But the Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 was a beautiful deviation from the norm.

Visually, the Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 stood out from its Japanese competition because the proportions of plastics to engine made it look so low-slung and broad-shouldered – the middle linebackers of the sportsbike world. This is one of the earlier models, which comes with gigantic 40mm Dell’Orto’s instead of electronic fuel ignition (denoted as the 1100i). The engine produced 90 horsepower and the 5-speed transmission was geared very tall, so you could hit nearly 140. This also means that when you’re in-town, you’re only really using 1st and 2nd. Specs include a straight-cut gearbox, Marzocchi M1 forks, WP rear shock, and a lovely sound – check out this video from the seller (which is horizontally flipped):

This specific bike has 45,106 miles (so hopefully the issues that sometimes plagued ’95 models have been sorted out) and was previously owned by a MGNOC member. Find this Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport for sale in Brooklyn, New York with bidding up to $3,050 and the reserve not yet met
