Nexus 7 with trailer

Hi,
I just changed the internal assemble (part #1 ) of my nexus 7 (https://www.brix.de/verkehr/fahrrad/_...c22_aufbau.gif ).

Before I had a long enough shaft on the non brake side to attach a trailer hook (e.g. Amazon.com : Aosom Bike Trailer Type 'A' Hitch Coupler : Instep Bike Trailer Coupler : Sports & Outdoors).

But now I just can't attach it. Is it wise to remove part #30 on the above diagram (the one that prevent the shaft from spinning) to put the trailer hook?

Best regards,

you lose the axle adjustment fixing locknut.. and the anti rotation washer must remain
these screw on instead of the left Nut, its internally threaded .. then perhaps yours can be attached onto the extended thread .. with the same nut.

made in 10x1, 10.5x1 & 3/8"x26tpi

Which one is the axle adjustment fixing locknut (number on the diagram)?

On that side, the c clamp (#3) seems to dictate the length of the axle. Maybe I am wrong.

Unfortunately, the Hitch Alt adapter, is not readily available in Sweden.

Thanks

Last one on the axle inside of the dropout.. if 30 is the anti rotation washer on the left end its 31 on top of 32..

cone adjusts bearing balls preload, Lock nut keeps it like that -- fixed .

The Burly sold Piece threads on the outside (get the one of the 3, that matches the hub-axle threads) then once it's secure over the left anti Rotation washer,

Then, put that trailer tow thing on and screw the original Nut on Top of it.
