Shimano Tiagra Cassette HG50 review

While not strictly part of the Tiagra line, this all- steel cassette would usually accompany this groupset, though you can save weight by fitting the 9-speed version of the Ultegra cassette that uses an aluminium cradle and costs £32.95.

Our review
Smooth, positive and great value, this performs under pressure

While not strictly part of the Tiagra line, this all- steel cassette would usually accompany this groupset, though you can save weight by fitting the 9-speed version of the Ultegra cassette that uses an aluminium cradle and costs £32.95. In use, the Hyperglide-profiled teeth ramp the chain to larger cogs smoothly and quietly, even when exerting extreme pressure on the pedals. The range of cassettes is limited to 12-23, 12-25, 13-25 or 14-25t; we would like to have seen a 12-27 or 12-29t cassette added.
