Now that Janet Jackson has confirmed she’s expecting her first child, let’s get to know the father-to-be.
Here are five things to know about Jackson’s husband, Wissam Al Mana:
1. He has an estimated net worth of $1 billion.
Al Mana’s family business in Qatar includes over 50 companies in the Gulf region from real estate, automotive distribution, engineering and construction, retail, food services and media. He is also the executive director of Al Mana’s fashion portfolio, which includes Hermes, Sonia Rykiel and Agent Provocateur and is a shareholder in the Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Dubai, Doha, Bahrain and Kuwait. With all of these factors combined, Al Mana has an estimated net worth of $1 billion, according to The Richest.
2. He loves to travel.
Even though Jackson and Al Mana remain very private when it comes to being in the public eye, there’s no doubt he loves to travel — especially with his expectant wife. The pair have been spotted around the globe at different times of the year. In 2015, the couple was spotted out at the Armani 50th anniversary dinner at Nobu in Milan, according to People. He also told Entrepreneur back in 2014 that “We love traveling… we love going to nice, exotic places far away from the world and from prying eyes.”
3. He is the inspiration behind Jackson’s music.

After her seven-year hiatus from music, Jackson came back in 2015 with her first single “No Sleeep” off her newest album Unbreakable. Jackson dedicated this track to Al Mana, even calling him as “my love” on Twitter.

4. He describes Jackson as his “dream woman.”
Al Mana gushed about his wife and their wedding back in 2012. “I’m fortunate enough to be dating my dream woman,” he told Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. He also described Jackson to VMAN magazine as a “very special and talented woman who never ceases to amaze me.”
5. He is the ultimate family man.
Al Mana runs his multimillion-dollar company with his two brothers — and it seems to be the key to their success. “Between my brothers and I there is a structure. We basically handle different responsibilities and different companies within the group. We all enjoy doing different things, we all like to put our hands in certain industries and activities,” he told Entrepreneur. “It’s in our blood, we’re merchants. When I was a child, I looked at my father’s passport and his occupation said ‘Merchant.’ I asked my mom, and she explained that we are merchants. We take pride in that, it’s our heritage.”
