Is a new Ellie Goulding album quickly approaching? The British pop phenom is teasing the full-length follow-up to 2012’s Halcyon on Instagram, alluding that it is finished and could arrive “soon.”
“That’s a wrap!” Goulding posted on Monday (July 27) as the caption for a photo of her giddily leaving Abbey Road Studios in London. She followed it up with a photo of herself in the studio on Wednesday, laughing and pointing alongside a collection of producers and co-writers.
“I love this photo so much!” Goulding writes. “Making my album has been hard and it has been terrifying for so many reasons. But also a tremendous journey. It is made up of not just some of the most talented people I know but the best people. I am so grateful to have them around me inspiring me and making me laugh like hell at the same time. Soon I will be able to share it with you x”

So how soon is “soon”? A rep for Goulding did not return Billboard’s request for comment, although Internet rumors have also pegged Goulding as the artist behind the theme for Spectre, this fall’s James Bond film. Goulding’s “That’s a wrap!” proclamation could actually be about the theme song and not a new album.

Despite being nearly three years removed from her last proper full-length, Goulding is in the midst of an undeniable stateside hot streak: she already has a Top 10 hit this year with “Love Me Like You Do,” from the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, and 2012’s Halcyon (and its deluxe reissue Halcyon Days) produced radio winners like “Anything Could Happen” and “Burn.” Goulding also re-teamed with Calvin Harris last year for “Outside,” a sequel to their hit collaboration “I Need Your Love,” which became another Top 40 hit on the Hot 100 chart.
