Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Delcina Richard passed away on February 20, 2024. Born in Ste. Therese Gloucester, NB, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth Comeau.

Left to cherish her memory are her eight surviving children Sylvia Oram, JoAnn Munn, Julia and (Deryl) Howe, Ronald Richard, Pam and (Terry) Sullivan, Armand Richard, Mona and (Bobby) Levesque, Angela and (Duane) Clowater, 19 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren, 15 Great-Great Grandchildren and her brother Gerald and sister Cecile.

Predeceased by her loving husband Alfred of 68 years, daughter Norma, son-in laws Kenny, Ricky and David, and six siblings.

Delcina has touched many lives with her passion for always caring about the needs of others. She was a long-time employee of the Red Cross Society.

Her strong devotion to her faith touched many. A Sunday School teacher for several years, a CWL member for over 40 years, volunteering at church suppers, and singing in the choir brought so much joy to her life.

She will always be remembered as a kind, patient, and loving mother. A fantastic baker, quilter, healer, teacher, care-giver and so much more.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2130 Route 102, Lincoln, NB, from 10am until noon, followed by a Funeral Mass with father Callistus Abazie as Celebrant. A reception will be held at the church following the funeral mass.

Delcina’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the staff and caregivers of Pine Grove Nursing Home for their exceptional care and compassion.
