A holiday in Fusch

A little place that has it all

Our little holiday town of Fusch has always been known for the diversity of its scenery, its numerous lush meadows and pastures, as well as its countless hiking routes. Located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park, this cosy village is surrounded by several 3000 metre summits. As the starting point for the world-famousGrossglockner High Alpine Road Fusch attracts so many visitors each and every year. The views to the Hohe Tauern mountains are spectacular. The absolute highlight of the road is the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe. It takes you to within touching distance of the Grossglockner, which, with an altitude of 3798m, is the highest mountain in Austria.

Another special feature is Ferleiten high mountain valley. With its conservation-protected areas, rare orchids and idyllic marshy meadows – flora that is unique throughout Europe – the valley is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Hohe Tauern. You can also visit Ferleiten Wildlife and Adventure Park or fish for your own supper on the Fuscher Ache, a dreamily beautiful fly-fishing water-body. A trip to Bad Fusch is also highly recommended - the mystical high valley with history will enchant you.

A holiday in Fusch is all about tasting freedom, feeling the pulse of the forest and taking in the history of the mountains.

We have so much to offer at any time of the year – it is quite simply impossible to discover everything during one stay!
