Sporting an elegant, fashionable body that’s part SLR McLaren and part Panoz Esperante, the Peugeot 907 concept made its world debut at home in Paris. A two-seat GT coupe, the 907 is powered by a 6.0-liter V-12 engine good for a staggering 493 horsepower. Positioned longitudinally behind the front axle and connected by a small propshaft, the V-12 delivers its power via a six-speed gearbox placed longitudinally in front the rear axle. Considering its power, the 907 is a relatively small and lightweight sports car. It measures 172 inches long (7 in. shorter than a Mercedes SL600), 74 inches wide (2 in. wider), and 48 inches tall (3 in. shorter). According to Peugeot, the curb weight is around 3086 pounds, roughly 1340 pounds less than the SL. Much of the 907’s feathery stature can be attributed to its structure, which is made predominantly from carbon fiber. As with most true sports cars, the 907 rides on a four-wheel control arm suspension. Seeing that it’s a concept, the 907 features several flashy cues, including twelve intake trumpets in the hood, side vents a la the Ferrari 575M Maranello, and a retractable rear spoiler.
