Just last week, Lily Collins revealed that she had married Charlie McDowell in an intimate ceremony in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado.
To announce the incredible news, she shared a series of beautiful images, including the happy newlyweds kissing at the altar, posing near a waterfall and a close-up shot, in which Charlie looks lovingly at Lily, who is wearing a gorgeous lace veil.
The stunning pictures look positively dreamy and now, more pictures from guests and Lily’s beauty team on social media are giving us a closer look at some of the gorgeous, intricate details you might have missed in the first announcement. Namely, Lily’s bridal hair.
At first glance, her hair may look like it’s simply tied into a neat ballerina bun but it’s so much more than that.
The first thing we noticed is that Lily’s hairstylist Gregory Russell braided her hair into a tiny headband to sit over her braid. Almost like a very delicate milkmaid braid.
As for the bun itself, the theme of the braid continued into the updo and Gregory also added two stunning silver hair pins for decoration. Swipe along for bridal hair goals:
Alongside the post, Gregory, who has been Lily’s go-to hairstylist for ages, wrote in a caption: “🤍✨Just over a week ago I worked on this magical human and my heart was swelling the whole time. So grateful for these beautiful memories. 🤍✨”
Lily commented on the post, writing: “Love you and your beautiful creativity to much and cannot imagine not having you with me to celebrate. Thank you. Beyond. ❤️”
