An ageless former supermodel flaunted her svelte figure in a tiny bikini one last time before having major surgery.
Paulina Porizkova, 58, has been turning heads since the early 1980s, parading her mile-long legs up and down catwalks across the globe. And last Thursday (January 25), the mum-of-two sent Instagram into a meltdown as she posed in swimwear on a Caribbean holiday.
The Grey goddess slipped into a minuscule blue string bikini as she showed off her stunning curves in the shallows. But with the beach curls and blue skies, Paulina let slip another revelation: she was having a major operation of both hips.

“From bikini to hospital chic…,” the Czech-American model captioned the Instagram post as she posted a selfie in a hospital bed alongside the swimsuit snap. The multi-time Sports Illustrated cover girl revealed that she had congenital hip dysplasia – an issue with the ball and socket joints in the hips.
Fans’ well wishes flooded the comment section, with one person writing, “Oh Paulina! I feel for you,” and another adding: “Oh my gosh, Paulina! Both at once… You are my hero.”
Paulina claimed that the cartilage in her hips was so worn down that several doctors told her it was “bone on bone”. She added: “It’s so bad, in fact, that doing one hip at the time is pointless… So. Had one last vacation with old hips – and now it’s time for some new ones.”
Last Sunday (January 28) , Paulina underwent surgery at NYU Langone in New York City with “rockstar” surgeon, Dr Roy Davidovitch. Two hours after the op, she was strutting up and down the hospital halls with a as if it were a Milan fashion show.
On Wednesday (January 31), Paulina revealed that she was able to stand up and walk around the house unassisted. But disaster struck when she forgot about the painful procedure and bent down before “fireworks went off” in her hips.
Thankfully, Dr Davidovitch’s nurse reassured Paulina that no further damage had been done. Now, she is back laying down, “couch, ice packs, snoring dog, and books to read,” she wrote on Instagram.
