JWAC’s New CO Assumes Command

U.S. Strategic Command Commander, Gen. John Hyten, passes the guidon to JWAC’s new commander, Col. Douglas Sachs, as the outgoing CO, Capt. Andrew Feinberg, watches.

Air Force Col. Melvin Douglas Sachs took command of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) on June 20, in a ceremony on the Dahlgren parade field, replacing Navy Capt. Andrew L. Feinberg.

Sachs is the eleventh commander of JWAC since 1994 and the first Air Force officer in that position since 2009. Most recently, he served as the Senior Defense Official and Defense Attaché to Australia since 2014.
