Ever wonder what it takes to get in tip-top Baywatch shape? (Let me know if you figure it out ... ) While it might seem impossible, Baywatch actress Alexandra Daddario says it's all about balance, keeping things in perspective, and not being too obsessive.

In a recent interview with People, Daddario said that the secret to her svelte figure isn't much of a secret at all. In fact, she said it's all about aiming to eat naturally whenever possible, drinking lots and lots of water, and most importantly, knowing when to give your body what it wants.

"I eat what I like, even if I know it's not ideal sometimes," Daddario said. "You have to allow yourself to cheat. I know if I have some ice cream at night it's not going to affect me negatively. Enjoy your life!"

For Daddario, cheating means straying from her usual line-up of healthy fats and well-portioned, mostly natural meals. Typically, that means fruit and veggie-filled omelets for breakfast, almond milk cappuccinos, an acai and Earthfusion smoothie and a coconut water for lunch, and turkey meatballs for a snack in the afternoon. When dinnertime rolls around, Daddario dives into dishes like avocado tacos, and quinoa bowls filled with jalapeรฑos, cabbage, street corn, cabbage, chicken, salsa, and fresh lime juice. And as mindful as she is her about her diet, it seems like dessert is almost always on the menu. Rice Dream Mint Carob Chip frozen dessert, a nice stand-in for ice cream, is her go-to.

In total, the whole spread runs her about 1,700 calories a nice, round number for a lifeguard who spends her days running through the sand, patrolling the bay, and saving lives. Or in the very least, playing one on TV.
