A Part of You, the new Netflix film starring Zara Larsson, has released its first look.

The Swedish film sees the popstar make her acting debut, with the singer joining Felicia Maxime and Edvin Ryding in the lead roles.

The film, which is written by Michaela Hamilton and directed by Sigge Eklund, will be a "story about life and death that portrays the experience of being 17 years old and feeling like your heart is about to burst from your chest" (via Netflix).

“Agnes' (Maxime) older sister Julia (Larsson) possesses everything that Agnes dreams of: she's the coolest person in school, the centre of every party, and she’s dating Noel (Ryding),” reads the logline.

“If only Agnes could be more like her. When the worst possible thing occurs, Agnes' world is turned upside down and she’s forced to reinvent herself. Suddenly, she's on the verge of obtaining everything she's ever desired, but at what cost?”

Production on A Part of You is due to start in Stockholm next week, with the film due to be released globally on Netflix in 2024.

This isn’t the first collaboration between Maxime and Ryding, with the pair starring in Netflix series Young Royals. Production on the third and final season began last month, with the streaming service’s social media channels writing: “Nothing but good vibes as the Young Royals cast is back on set for the third and final season.”

Teasing the final run of episodes, lead actor Omar Rudberg expressed his desire for Wilhelm and Simon to get their happy ending, saying he was looking forward to the blossoming of their relationship.

“One thing that I really just want to see is Simon and Wilhelm – will they be happy? So we can get a taste of the love. The 100% love – the unconditional love – and being together. That's something that I want to see,” he exclusively told Digital Spy. “To see them like a ‘we against the world’ kind of thing. That would be so beautiful to see.”

A Part of You will be released on Netflix in 2024. Young Royals airs on Netflix.
