Schneebild, gemalt en plein air (snow painting)

Ich liebe es Schnee zu malen! Vor allem bei Sonne: dann wird das Blau des Himmels im Schatten vom weißen Schnee ganz rein und gesättigt reflektiert...
Dafür nehme ich es dann auch in Kauf mich in so viele Schichten zu packen, bis ich mich kaum noch bewegen kann und dass bei Minusgraden der Ölfarbe etwas zäher wird.
Mein Tipp: Heizsohlen und Handwärmer in Schuhe und Handschuhe packen und unbedingt heißen Tee mitnehmen!

Dieses Bild habe ich innerhalb von 60 Minuten gemalt... Den Stand vom Locationfoto hatte ich schon nach ca 35 Minuten erreicht - konnte dann aber nicht aufhören, wie es so viel Spaß machte und habe noch ganz in ruhe einige Details ergänzt.

Frieren tu ich übrigens immer erst, wenn ich fertig mit dem Malen bin - vorher bin ich viel zu beschäftigt und dadurch wohl abgelenkt....

I love painting snow! Especially when it's sunny: then the blue of the sky in the shade is reflected by the white snow in a pure and saturated way...
For that, I also put up with wrapping myself in so many layers until I can hardly move and that the oil paint becomes a bit more viscous in sub-zero temperatures.
My tip: pack heat soles and hand warmers in your shoes and gloves and be sure to take hot tea with you!

I painted this one within 60 minutes... I had already reached the state of the location photo after approx. 35 minutes - but then I couldn't stop, as it was so much fun and I added some details in peace and quiet.

By the way, I only feel cold when I have finished painting - before that I am much too busy and therefore distracted....
