Good replacement on a vintage bike
I have a 1992 Paramount with Shimano Integra 600 components that I upgraded to a casette with larger rear sprockets. The short cage derailleur couldn't handle them well. I got the used Derore, and it shifted perfectly. Great condition at a decent price.

These kinds of eBay reviews are a catastrophic mistake.
While this vintage XT rear derailleur is of unquestionable quality, and in nearly new condition, the person (stevedinan) who reviewed it before me could have cast doubt on my auction because of a bad past experience with another buyer. stevedinan's review, like mine, shows up on all similar auctions, and is in no way related to a specific auction or seller, therefore, a positive review might also show up on an auction for a completely worn-out, destroyed derailleur. I cannot imagine why ebay would institute this kind of review program before working out the bugs, but as usual, there will no doubt be collateral damage.
