Item badly scratched and not all scratches were shown on the images. Cable was missing and the pouch was filthy and full of animal hair. Arrived very close to Xmas so had to give it to daughter but asked for a price reduction. Seller refused and initially insisted cable would have come with it which it didn’t. Totally refused to reduce price and suggested I take it from our child and send it back. I would not but from this seller again. Camera wasn’t worth half the price I paid for it.

    I'd buy it again - I did!

    I first bought one of these on eBay in 2007, having used its predecessors Nikon 900S and Nikon 4500. Great for taking pictures in awkward places because of the twist lens capability, inc places you can't get your head!! Alas some models get faults in the connection between the two parts, which my first one has done, there is a workaround easily found on Internet, but likely only temporary. It uses an SD card which can be slotted into some PCs or a card reader. It includes Vibration Reduction (VR) very good for the older user. It has more than adequate picture resolution for printing. Hence why I bought another. It's not small enough for shirt pocket, but fits well in my handbag. I wish Nikon would continue with this twist lens design.

    COOLPIX SWIVEL PRACTICALITY

    this is now an obsolete camera because of replacement models in differt forms now appearing and with larger sensors however for so many reasons, not least the precision swivel facility and its pocketable size this was why this is a replacment for the 'lens error' malfunction that arose in my first Coolpix - the most common fault following a light fall i'm delihted to have found this replacemnt
