Tillandsia Mathudae is an epiphytic species native to countries such as Mexico and Guatemala.

 



Matudae is a Tillandsia native to Central America, mostly found in Mexico at an altitude of about 2000 metres.

It is a plant that can sometimes be confused with VELICKIANA.

The leaves are very flexible and dense with broad, triangular-shaped, ribbed pods.

It usually flowers between May and October and its flowers are usually green or yellow, although they sometimes turn red.

CARE:

It is a plant that requires a lot of light, but it is necessary to be very careful with direct sun, especially in summer, the most convenient is a partial shade.

TEMPERATURE:

Plant very sensitive to low temperatures, we should not expose it to less than 5 degrees, especially if the plant is wet.

HUMIDITY:

Moderate.

VENTILATION:

As all Tillandsias require good ventilation, once the plant is watered it should be completely dry in less than an hour.

WATERING:

2 to 3 times in summer and once every 15 days in winter, and once a week indoors.

Fertilise once a month in summer and only once in ALL winter.
