Death in PIB2 was overrated as hell and his design was mid at best, it felt so flat in a film where everything else looked so. Finished? And not like in an intentional way, it bugged the fuck out of me
I wanted to do like. Big Bad Wolf + Little Red Riding Hood as the same entity, and death being a woman always fucking rips. A washed out maned-wolf coloration to make it more visually interesting, with of course the red hood, and maned wolves having slitted eyes like cats is a nice thematic parallel.
I'd imagine this version of Death initially comes upon Puss after Delmar as an omen/slow your roll rather than straight trying to kill him out of the gate but the more he refused to learn as the course of the movie happened, the more irritated she'd get until she like ACTUALLY started hunting him down.
Also after the final encounter with Puss she prolly at least stays to WATCH whatever the fuck Jack Horner is going to do because Death in the real movie just pEACES OUT and it's incredibly funny
anyway. fix your wolves and furries get some taste i beg you

Not bad, really. I like the creativity, and I see the vision! I'm sorry Death as a character didn't impact you the way it did most people though, I thought he was pretty scary and a formidable force.
I thought his design was pretty rad too. He's spaghetti western inspired. And I'm pretty sure they made him white in order for him to blend into different lighting a lot better and contrast with his dark attire.
And to be completely honest, I'm pretty sure Death WOULD have talked to Puss instead of outright trying to kill him, but Puss made the fatal error of attacking him first. Death was completely chilled out and relaxed in the bar until Puss tried to fight him TWICE.
Death in the movie has a different purpose than simply being an omen. He had built up anger for YEARS. He was suppose to represent the consequences of Puss' actions because death itself is not something to mess with. You wont always get warnings or mercy, Puss pushed his luck too many times, and Death had enough of it.
Idk, I just feel like you might not understand the purpose/intentions of Death's character. You can depict death as an individual many different ways (so yours isnt invalid of course, I'll make that clear). Just because he's not to your taste, it doesn't mean he needs fixing.
Your art is good though, and I admire the idea you gave. But I just don't see the need to fix Death as a character, I thought his portrayal was pretty great ^^

Also, with all due respect, you don't have to make your point by being aggressive towards people who DO like him. "Get some taste" is a bit specific , isnt it?
I don't understand the hype of a lot of characters that people simp for either, but I'd never hate on them or tell people they have bad taste. Everyone loves different characters for different reasons.

I feel as though given your PFP you are inherently biased.
I recognize the intent and purpose of his character. I recognize the motifs in his design. I think he served his purpose in the film, was solid but overhyped. I think most motifs were solidly communicated other than his facial markings attempting to mimic a bull-skull as a callback to his Western aesthetic.
He was fine. No more, no less. Do I think mine is actually a 'fix'? For my personal tastes, yes. In general? No.
But I will say? Furries slavering over such a basic design, acting as though he was the second coming of Christ, same as every other fox/wolf/canid shaped thing? Will forever rub me the wrong way.
As far as villains in the film, Big Jack Horner was far more compelling to me, in no small part thanks to his voice acting (Coming from a former fan of John Mulaney. Was not a fan of him cheating on his wife and heckling his audience members who said 'that's kinda shitty my guy'.)
EDIT: Peeping your gallery, it seems the bias comment was correct. You've got a solid art style! A pity you use it for feral. Jeez.
