Yesterday, Victoria's Secret unveiled the new Showstopper bra - a no-padding bra that boasts smooth, seamless coverage under curve-hugging tops and dresses. (Um, yes please!) To mark the launch of yet another groundbreaking piece of lingerie technology, Adriana Lima set up camp in the brand's New York flagship, to pose with fans. We fought through the round-the-block crowds to ask her these questions:
When I asked Lima just how many bras she has stashed away in her lingerie drawer she told me "at least one from every Victoria's Secret collection" - which A, sounds awesome and B, seems more than reasonable for a living, breathing Victoria's Secret Angel, no?
So when's she going to wear the Showstopper? Adriana explained that the Showstopper was new her daytime go-to since it's light, comfortable and comes in fun colors. But then, for night, when she wants a little va-va-voom (AKA cleavage), her go-to is Victoria's Secret Miraculous push-up bra.
And since Adriana thinks that confidence and good lingerie are the two most important things in pulling off an outfit (this, she also told us among the sea of fans dying for us to stop talking to her), it would only make sense that her little trick for transitioning from day-to-evening, has zip to do with slipping on 5-inch pumps or swiping on some cherry red lipstick.
Personally, ladies, I think this just might be the untapped day-to-evening wardrobe transition miracle-worker. I don't know about you, but these Victoria's Secret angels never fail to inspire me to stock up on lingerie, smoky eye makeup and large barrel curling irons. And to pout more.
