The best eighty eight cents and hour I could have spent. An impassioned tract that Karl Marx wasn't just a Satanist but pretty much the Dark Prince himself. Great stuff.
Three stars for sheer entertainment value. My favourite part: Have you ever wondered about Marx's hair style? Men usually wore beards in his time, but not beards like his, and they did not have long hair. Marx's manner of bearing himself was characteristic of the disciples of Joana Southcott, a Satanic priestess who considered herself in contact with the demon Siloh.
I was surprised about the many comment calling this entertaining and hilarious. It’s far from it. Wurmbrand spent 14 years being tortured in Soviet prison camps. This led him to dig into the causes of this level of evil. And he found endless connections between Marx, Stalin, Communism and Satan. If you don’t believe in the devil then why would you read it in the first place.
My goodness, I thought I was the only person who had read this book. I found it in a used book shop and still have it. I am giving it five stars for sheer entertainment value.
Good book, I learnt a lot about satanism and the marxism! It was pretty har to read, but the main thing was: God's the best of all... I love Him very much and nothing can separate me from His love
Having researched Satanism and Marxism, I have to say that I was not surprised by the connection. I picked up the book because of having recognized the name of the author. I have yet to read Tortured for Christ, but was familiar with Sabina Wurmbrand's side of the story during her husband's imprisonment by the Communist party for his faith in Christ and leadership in the Romanian church. Had I not recognized the author, I might not have given the book much thought, as I could easily imagine it to be something of a stretch, however horrible a person Marx has already proven to be ideologically. In fact, Wurmbrand handles the issue very methodically. He admits to the evidence being mainly circumstantial (hence the question mark in the title) and encourages further research on the topic. If I had no exposure to the occult, it would likely still seem rather a stretch of the imagination, but I found this book put pieces together more than it raised questions. I do not know if anyone ever did write further on the topic, but it definitely was an illuminating read.
Osea kaaaa...
