dsi introduced online service for citizens to modify contact address and email

In order to facilitate formalities for updating the contact address in the resident identity record, the Identification Services Bureau (DSI) launched an online contact information modification service on 30 June 2021. Besides updating contact address, this new service offers citizens an option to provide their email. Citizens can now update the contact address and email for themselves and their underage children, and also make a one-time update on the relevant information for other public departments simultaneously without leaving home.

When using this service on DSI’s website ( www.dsi.gov.mo ), citizens have to log in to the system with their “Common Access to Public Services of the Macao SAR” account, and receive a verification code sent to the mobile phone number registered in their resident identity card record by SMS. After confirmation, they can update their contact address and email. If they need to modify their underage children’s contact address and email, they can just input the identity card number of persons concerned for information update at the same time. After successful application, DSI will handle the application in the following 3 working days. A notification will also be sent to the applicants by SMS after the information is updated.

Moreover, at the time of updating the contact address in the resident identity record, citizens can also make a one-time update on the address for other government departments including the Social Security Fund, Pension Fund, the Marine and Water Bureau, the Cultural Bureau, the Education and Youth Development Bureau, the Health Bureau and the Macao Post and Communications Bureau.

Due to the security reason, the online service is not applicable to changing the contact telephone number in the resident identity record. Citizens who need to update the relevant information can go through the formalities with the integrated self-service kiosks distributed in 49 locations in Macao, or at DSI service points (including the Identification Services Bureau in Avenida de Grande Praia, the Macao Government Services Centre in Areia Preta and the Macao Government Services Centre in Islands). For details of the function and location of the self-service kiosk, please visit DSI’s website ( www.dsi.gov.mo/kiosk_e.jsp ).

For enquiries, please call DSI hotline at 2837-0777 or 2837-0888 or email to info@dsi.gov.mo.
