in black felt tip. Color, 6x4¼. The Scorpions are a German rock band
which first formed in 1965, and over their career have changed musical style
from hard rock to heavy metal. The only constant member of the band is guitarist
Rudolf Schenker (b. 1948), although singer Klaus Meine (b. 1948)
has been the lead singer for all of the band's studio albums. They are best
known for their hit "Rock You Like a Hurricane" (1984), as well as their
other popular songs "No One Like You" (1982), "Send Me an Angel"
(1990), "Still Loving You" (1984), and "Wind of Change"
(1990). The band was ranked No. 46 on VH1's Greatest Artists of Hard Rock
list and their song "Rock You Like a Hurricane" was ranked No. 18 on their 100
Greatest Hard Rock Songs program. Scorpions guitarist Matthias Jabs (b.
1955), drummer Herman Rarebell (b. 1949), and bass Ralph
Rieckermann (b. 1962) are also featured in this 1990s photograph.
