How to Kill Regenerators
During Chapter 13 of Resident Evil 4 Remake, you'll come across a truly terrifying enemy while on The Island that roams around the Utility halls. These enemies are called Regenerators, and they won't go down without quite the fight.
Much like their name states, these enemies can regenerate their limbs as you shoot or slice them off, making them tricky to get rid of. In this section of IGN's Resident Evil 4 Wiki Guide, we'll walk you through how to properly take them down in Remake.
How to Kill Regenerators
When you first encounter a Regenerator in Chapter 13, your best bet is to run away from them for now. If they have you cornered, though, you can parry them to chop off their limbs, giving you some space to run away before they grow back, or even shoot off their legs.
In order to properly take them down, though, you're going to need the Biosensor Scope, which can be found in the Incubation Lab. This scope is new to Remake, and is an updated version of the Infrared Scope from the original Resident Evil 4. With it, you'll be able to see the parasites squirming around inside them. By shooting those, you'll be able to take them down for good. Below, we'll walk you through how to get the Biosensor Scope first.
Where to Find the Biosensor Scope
In order to find the Biosensor Scope, you'll need to have gotten the Level 2 Key Card from the Freezer. Once you've done that, you can find the Incubation Lab at the bottom of the stairs after using the Level 2 Key Card.
You'll find the Biosensor Scope in the room at the back of the Incubation Lab inside a case, by the next Key Card machine.
Fighting Regenerators
Once you've picked it up, equip it to a Rifle (or if you just picked up the LE 5 by completing the Freezer Power Puzzle, now is a great time to equip it there and use it!), then aim out the window into one of the tanks.
With this, you'll be able to see the glowing parasites inside of the Regenerators. Aim for those, and once you've destroyed them, the Regenerator will be done for good.
