Last week, Blake Lively poked a bit of fun at Kate Middleton with her latest Betty Buzz promo. However, she offered an apology today as the Princess of Wales shared her cancer diagnosis, posting a note to her Instagram Stories that explained she was "mortified" over the situation.

“I’m so excited to share this new photo I just took today to announce our 4 new @bettybuzz & @bettybooze products!" Lively wrote alongside an obviously edited photo of herself and her brand of canned beverages. "Now you know why I’ve been MIA." The post went up at the height of the royals' Photoshop scandal, which saw eagle-eyed photo analysts calling out the princess for editing her photos — she even went on to apologize for it. The post has since been removed from Lively's feed.

"I'm sure no-one cares today but I feel I have to acknowledge this," Blake wrote today. "I made a silly post around the 'photoshop fails' frenzy and, oh, man, that post has me mortified today. I'm sorry. Sending love and well wishes to all, always."

The Daily Mail adds that Lively wasn't the only celebrity that poked fun at the royals. Kim Kardashian, Andy Cohen, and John Oliver also joked about the images. Kim posted an image of herself posing alongside a car with the caption "on my way to go find Kate." Commenters have since flooded the post with requests for Kardashian to remove it, writing, "You should take this down!," "Kate Middleton has cancer Kim," and "She’s having cancer treatment … this didn’t age well."

Middleton shared her cancer diagnosis today, saying that "it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK." In contrast to the memes that came as she stepped away from the spotlight, the news earned Kate an outpouring of support from the royal family, her brother, the White House, and more.
