Fans Are Praising Blake Lively for "Normalizing" Pumping in Public

With 2023 coming to a close, everyone is looking back on their most memorable moments from the past year — and for Blake Lively, that included pumping while at Disneyland Paris. 

On Saturday, the actress posted a carousel of photos from her trip to the theme park on Instagram, and in between a snap of her posing in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle and a shot taken inside the It's a Small World ride, Blake shared a pic that every new mom could relate to. In the photo, Lively posed with the Ratatouille cast while sporting an unexpected accessory: a portable breast pump that was clipped onto the pocket of her jeans.  

"2023 Highlights: pumping at @disneylandparis 🥛 Cheers Remy," she captioned her post.

Lively, who welcomed her fourth child with husband Ryan Reynolds earlier this year, was praised by fans for "normalizing" pumping in public. "Love seeing pumping normalized! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 get it mama," one fan wrote in the comments section, while another thanked Blake for making moms feel "comfortable and empowered" to "take care of their babies wherever they are."

A third jokingly added, "If you haven’t pumped while waiting in line at Disneyland what are you even doing?!"

While Lively and Reynolds haven't revealed the sex or name of their new baby, the couple are already parents to three daughters — James, Inez, and Betty — and the Deadpool actor was gunning for a fourth. "I know girls, so I'm kind of hoping that," Reynolds said during an appearance on the Today show in November 2022.
