Truly shocking, this should not have been released in this state.

I borrowed this and a mate's MegaDrive for week and liked this - but it appears that on the Amiga it's rather poo.

I think this is one of a kind example of the Amiga conversion that has great graphics and no gameplay... HD version does not even has music and not all samples are played even if the files are there... A disgrace that should be avoided.

CU Amiga scored this 83%. What a disgrace.

The intro, the GFX in the photos... And then, that's the real game. And it's a real disappointment... It's even not worth of talking about what is not working... Vote 2/10

I've just noticed somthnig about this lump of sh*te conversion. According to the reviews it had the frames halved to save on memory/ram. After giving this a quick go I noticed that all the characters still have their backwards walk animations. This was cut out of all the ports at the time on every system. This would save space as they werent really needed. Now, If the programers had any brains they would have cut those animations and left the ones in for when they jump in the air (which look ridiculous in the game). This has to be one of the laziest ports ever. No wonder there was rampant piracy on the Amiga when publishers released half finsihed games like this. Utter tripe! 2/10

I have the CD32 version and it plays like its in slow motion then suddenly speeds up for half a second then goes back to slow. Its no fun whatsoever.

Awesome, amazing, incredible intro!! And that's it... Otherwise this game was a pure example how conversions should not be made. Everything was sort of copied from the PC version with no optimalizations for Amiga made. As a matter of fact it looked as if the C code was just recompiled from PC to Amiga & that the developers only made sure the game was going on without spending any time in checking wether it was playable or runned at a reasonable pace on a regular Amiga. It didn't. As a matter of fact it didn't even run of properly on Turbo powered A1200... Sadly waist effort as if properly made this game could theoreticalt ressurect Amiga gaming when it was at it's end...

Oh man! What's to say for this port? The guys made sure they ported the sprites and backgrounds intact regarding their size and colors (they even retained the "3d" scrolling of the floor), but cut at least half of the frames out resulting in a poor-ass jerkfest. Also there's no blood or even hit gfx fx. If you have a 68030 and some fast ram (or better) , set it to NTSC and it's playable after a while as you get (somewhat) used of the crappy animation. The moves are all there and the controls seem to be responsive and good if you have a cd32 pad. CD32 version has the music of levels as audio tracks while the disk version has no in-game music at all, only fx. I can only give 5.5/10 for disk version and 6.5/10 for CD32 assuming (in both cases) you have an accelerator and a CD32 pad.

Wtf !?!
i got this, installed it on my a1200's hd and fired it up, i noticed that the graphics looked really nice but then when it came to playing it, it was like i was playing it in slooooow motion.
a few years later (like in todays day and age) i now have an apollo card in my a1200 which makes this game run at an acceptable speed.
if you have a stock a1200, avoid. If you have some seriously kick-ass accellerator, give it a shot!

They ported straight away the program code from PC !!!
Since the PC code is made to be different depending on your processor speed,
they have done the tour de force of porting this shit to amiga.
Since then this game would have run on a 68020 with no effort, we got instead
a shit that kill the refreshing system to 1/10 images per seconds.
Real shame !!!!

Besides the nice graphic and intro, this game was pure bullshit! The gameplay is so bad and the turbo mode doesn't even have an effect on the speed. Really really bad conversion.

I had the CD32 version of this one, and it was probably a version released long before the game was finished. They probably had to rush the publishing of this one to get to the last pieces of the Amiga market. It's almost perfect as a conversion, except that during the special moves the screen flickered and it didn't show the shadows trail behind the character and the burst in the background.
They didn't have the time to bugfix it and to optimize the speed, sadly, because it really was a perfect conversion. On CD32+SX1 with fast ram the game was indeed faster and playable. The music was great, too, and it worked with the 6-buttons CD32 pad.

Such disregard for game speed and smoothness, and yet they were so scrupulous about preserving the detailed graphics, set of moves, AI and fighting mechanics of the original SSF2T. The math doesn't really work. It's like playing the arcade version with frameskip set to 10, or as if they just wrote a wrapper around the x86 port.
Nevertheless, if you don't give up on it immediately and allow enough time for your reflexes to synchronise with the framerate, you will eventually get used to it: I played it to the end with every character and it almost felt like the original. Too bad it had still backgrounds and was stripped of most of its sounds (though you can hear CDDA music in the CD32 version).
If only it moved like the non-Turbo version, it would be an almost-perfect port.

The best graphics of all Street Fighter II's Amiga ports... Really outstanding. Apart from that the game is just too slow (even on a 68040 or WinUAE) and unplayable... Big frustration. 1/10 for me, graphics don't makes a game, specially this kind of game.

I remember when I bought this game for CD32, I already owned a PlayStation but I wanted to buy the last great game for CD32... Luckily I could swap it back at the local store, the game is really crap because of bad programming and POOR frame rate (graphics are cool, okm they just ripped original graphics...)

Oh dear... Basically great graphics, but like SexyWayne said, only until it moves. Everything else sucks so badly that there are no words enough to tell you that. Accelerator boards, even 060 with tons of fast mem, doesn't make any difference. Even Dragon's Lairs and Space Aces had more playablity than this beautiful piece of shit. Great opportunity completely wasted.

A real shame, this conversion has the GFX, the sound, it all looks great until it moves, it's slow, jerky and unresponsive. If you wanna play Street Fighter 2 on Amiga try SSF2 AGA with a CD32 pad.
