One of the most interesting features of Luis Enrique's new-look Paris Saint-Germain promises to be the club's latest attacking superstar: Ousmane Dembélé!

Dembélé joined PSG from Barcelona last Saturday, and made his debut from the bench as the Ligue 1 Uber Eats champions beat drew 1-1 with Toulouse FC one week later.

A Stade Rennais academy graduate, Dembélé is delighted to be back in France after a season with Borussia Dortmund followed by six with Barcelona.

"I'm really happy and proud to be joining a big club like Paris Saint-Germain," Dembélé told the Ligue 1 Show on beIN SPORTS. "I'm excited about the idea of playing at the Parc des Princes and training with my new teammates."

Dembélé first made a name for himself in France eight years ago, breaking onto the scene with Rennes and registering 12 goals and five assists from 26 games in his lone French top-flight campaign.

"The French league is very physical and full of good teams," Dembélé continued. "It's a good league. I remember the seven or eight months that I played at Rennes fondly. I really enjoyed playing in Ligue 1.

Dembélé has packed his trophy cabinet since first leaving French football, winning the DFB Cup with Dortmund before collecting three La Ligas with Barcelona and a FIFA World Cup with France in 2018.

"I want to win trophies!" Dembélé continued. "To make the supporters and the city proud. It's exciting and I hope we'll do great things. I need to be ready and to do well from the off. I can't wait. I hope I'll soon win a first trophy with PSG."

The new recruit is looking forward to playing for Luis Enrique. The Frenchman is a big fan of the Spanish coach, who left Barcelona just two months after Dembélé joined the Catalans.

"It's vital for a footballer to have the coach's trust," Dembélé said. "I talked to the president [Nasser al-Khelaïfi] as well, and the sporting director [Luis Campos], and I like the project they have here. I like the coach's playing style. We know that Luis Enrique likes attacking, possession-based football. That suits me perfectly."

Dembele has previously played at the Parc des Princes on two occasions, once with Rennes and once with Barcelona. He was in the stands for the FC Lorient draw last weekend, and not for the first time either.

"I came here in 2014," he explained. "I was in the Auteuil stand for a Champions League game against Malmo. As a Frenchman who grew up in Evreux, near Paris, I've always talked about PSG, and I decided it's the right moment to come to Paris and to play here in my homeland.

"I want to thank all the supporters who sent me messages on social media over the last weeks. All I need is your trust, and I'll pay you back on the pitch. Ici c'est Paris."
