It’s been an incredible journey already. I could not be prouder of what Arkis team has been able to accomplish so far, but there is so much more to come on our quest to solve leverage provision and prime brokerage for digital assets. We are not selling undercollateralized leverage per se; what we are selling is capital efficiency. The ability to provide undercollateralized leverage results from building a secure platform that thrives on maximizing capital efficiency for each given portfolio. Undercollateralized leverage currently has overly risky and YOLO connotations in crypto, but this is only due to the industry’s immaturity and speculative nature. This method is one of the most efficient ways of providing capital and a usual tool in an asset manager’s toolkit in traditional finance, which is much more conservative than crypto. However, the infrastructure to enable this safely has been honed and tested for generations. We apply institutional and mature practices to build an infrastructure capable of handling undercollateralized transactions between lenders and borrowers of digital assets, akin to what is being done by traditional finance prime brokers. We just launched our first transaction with an institutional lender and borrower, allegedly offering the best LTV, according to one of our clients, a market neutral yield farming hedge fund. So, I believe Arkis is well-positioned to lead the next institutional wave of adoption and become a centerpiece of the ecosystem to accelerate the maturity of DeFi.
