Exciting News: our programme for 2024 is out! This year, we are looking forward to a total of five visitors’ programmes for international cultural professionals, offering a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant arts and culture scene in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW).      🔸“70th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen – Film and Media Arts in North Rhine-Westphalia" 30 April – 5 May 2024 Our guests will be visiting the oldest short film festival globally, showcasing diverse forms and genres. Filmmakers, curators, and institutions in the (short) film and media art scene in NRW will be engaged.   🔸“CircusDanceFestival – Re-Inventing Circus: Between Heritage and Renewal" 15 – 20 May 2024 On the second trip, our guests embark on a journey into the hybrid artistic realm between circus and dance at the internationally acclaimed CircusDanceFestival in Cologne. Themes of heritage and renewal will be explored through performances, talks, and unique collaborations.   🔸“53rd moers festival – Crossing the Borders of Jazz and Contemporary Music between the Lower Rhine and the Ruhr Region" 16 – 21 May 2024 During this trip, the international guests get to experience the eclectic moers festival, a hub for non-mainstream music, showcasing international jazz and avant-garde talents. Over 70 concerts, sessions, and workshops will allow participants to delve into the festival.   🔸“internationale tanzmesse nrw 2024 – Global Networking of Contemporary Dance in North Rhine-Westphalia" 26 – 31 August 2024 This programme is all about the largest professional gathering for contemporary dance, the internationale tanzmesse NRW. Participants will be engaging in discussions, watch performances, and explore open studios, connecting with key figures and institutions in the dance scene of North Rhine-Westphalia.   🔸“FEL!X – Original Sound Festival of the Cologne Philharmonic" 28 August – 1 September 2024 Participants immerse themselves in the world of original sound at FEL!X, the opening festival of the Cologne Philharmonic's season. This season, FEL!X explores the region of Flanders, featuring renowned ensembles and young musicians, presenting classical music in various concert halls and venues in the city.     We can’t wait for the first guests to arrive and are looking forward to many interesting encounters and discussions in 2024!
