About us
Myriade is a French company created in 2017 that develops an innovative nanoscale imaging technology. Based on the works of the Langevin Institute, a French academic laboratory specialized in optical and ultrasonic technologies for life sciences, the technology Videodrop relies on a single-arm interferometric technique. It makes it possible to visualize without labeling living nanoparticles such as viruses, phages, or extracellular vesicles. The process was developed by Professor Claude Boccara at the request of the Professor Martine Boccara, specialist in virology, who was looking for a quick method to list viruses present in seawater samples collected during the Tara Oceans expedition in 2013. Myriade was born from the partnership between Quattrocento (Company builder, specialized in equipments for life sciences), Paris Sciences et Lettres, and the scientific team.

Videodrop simplifies the quality control of lentiviral vectors and excels in linearity. GMP compliance in viral vector production demands robust quality control (QC). Videodrop simplifies lentiviral vector QC by rapidly measuring size and physical titer. In Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)🏭, validation stands as a pivotal process. Governed by ICH Q2 guidelines, the validation of analytical methods for viral vector production is meticulously carried out. This involves evaluating the performance of the method through parameters such as linearity, ensuring test results accurately reflect the analyte concentration within the sample. ➡ Each sample's dilution curve, analyzed through linear regression, demonstrates a correlation coefficient (R²) greater than 0.98 and a slope exceeding 0.9, indicating a linear ↗ relationship within the tested range. ➡This consistency is observed in both purified and non-purified lentiviral vector (LV) samples. Specifically, linearity for LV harvest is assessed within the range of 1E8 to 5E9 particles/mL, and for the LV final product, the range is 2E8 to 9E9 particles/mL. During the Phages.fr conference in November 2023, a group from Hospices Civils de Lyon, Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, CNRS/UMR 53, #PhageInLyon – phag one consortium showcased a poster demonstrating the potential of Videodorp (interferometric light microscopy - ILM) in effectively tracking #phage #purification. The downstream process of Phage production involves a crucial purification stage that can potentially destabilize phage suspensions. Ideally, the phage titer should be ascertained before the fill and finish stage to prevent production losses, but titration is a method that consumes a lot of time. This workshop is a joint effort by the French Society for Extracellular Vesicles (FSEV) and the Association Française de Cytométrie (AFC). Extracellular vesicles, which play crucial roles in various physiological and pathological processes, are the focus of this workshop. They are particularly important in the progression and treatment responses of several diseases, including cancers. These vesicles also have potential as non-invasive disease biomarkers. Thrilled to share this informative video from our esteemed partner Corning LifeScience, highlighting the capabilities of Videodrop Our instrument supports scientists in optimizing their bioprocesses. During the Downstream Process Development phase, VIDEODROP Facilitates filtration, purification (washing steps, elution steps), and concentration (TFF conditions) optimization. It enables scientists to calculate downstream step yield and recovery efficiency, thereby defining the optimal workflow. Furthermore, during the Analytical Development phase, VIDEODROP allows.: the use of its concentration feature to normalize other tests that require dose-effect analysis, such as bioassays and potency assays. This feature enables a side-by-side comparison of different lentivirus constructions. Additionally, VIDEODROP's pre-measurement of concentration optimizes other time-consuming tests, such as determining the dilution range for p24 ELISA.
