While automation is a familiar concept in the spinning industry, the idea of automated cone packing is relatively new in India. Despite this, GHCL's team at their Paravai unit in Madurai seamlessly integrated the Auto Cone Pack system offered by Indo Texnology (P) Ltd into their operations. They even optimized the operator requirement in the packing line, further enhancing efficiency.
The Auto Cone Pack system automates the entire packing process, including cone weight verification, cone inspection (including tip design, UV inspection, and density check), polythene wrapping, box packing, gross weighing, tapping, strapping, barcode labeling, and recording of packing data. All these tasks are now managed by a single operator, showcasing the transformative power of automation.
