HANOI TV CENTER
In this project for a new television center in Hanoi I was inspired by the shape of the ship and the biblical myth of Noah's Ark.
It is a building with an elongated and complex shape, which will be built in an external area of the city of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The building will host television studios of various sizes, a large 5-storey recording studio and the offices and technical services necessary for a television station.
The project includes large glass surfaces that will house large greenhouses that act as an atrium and as a connection space between the different functions. The idea is to recreate the beauty of Vietnam's wild forests inside the building and thus make working life more pleasant.
In the Biblical story, Noah saves the animals (one pair for each species) from the imminent catastrophe due to the universal flood. For this purpose he creates a huge wooden ark.
In the same way this television station collects and transmits the news to the whole city of Hanoi and to the whole Country. Like a rescue ark in the confusion and inconsistency of the modern world, the TV channel filters and broadcasts the news, saving them from a flood of many voices and false news.
That's why the project takes the form of a boat. The facades will be covered with aluminum panels to reproduce the wooden planks of Noah's Ark.
