Baptisia variicolor 'Twilite Prairieblues'

Baptisia variicolor 'Twilite Prairieblues'

Common Name: 'False indigo'

A new and very nice clump-forming perennial with attractive blue-green leaves and long tapering spikes of pea-like violet-purple flowers with yellow markings, Jun-Aug. Green seedpods develop in summer, maturing to charcoal black. H60cm S50cm.

Care Instructions

Easy to grow and long-lived, it prefers full sun and a fertile, well-drained soil but is drought-tolerant once established. Non-spreading, it looks good in a sunny border but plant it well as they resent disturbance once planted.
