SMOKY DAMSEL

Common in rocky inshore areas.  In life the black 'ear-spot' may be overlaid with iridescent green, juveniles yellow-green to brown, orange fins with blue margins.  Replaced by and long confused with Pomacentrus trilineatus which is restricted to the Red Sea and West Indian Ocean.  Attains 4.5 inches.  Thailand to the Philippines, North Australia, and the Solomon Islands.
