James Frederick Freudig, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away unexpectantly at his home on September 9, 2006.

James was born on August 3, 1975 in Hopewell, VA to Frank and Betty Freudig. He grew up in Wakefield, VA, graduating from Tidewater Academy. Following some college and serving in the U.S. Air Force, he embarked on a personal journey, exploring the world. He was very proud of his broad traveling experiences, which eventually brought him to Hot Springs, SD, where he met his future wife, Annie Beyer, whom he married on October 15, 2001. In May of 2005, he graduated from South Dakota State University.

James was passionate about so many things, especially life. He had a contagious laugh and was quite the story teller. At a young age, he had his priorities in line for being a devoted husband and father. His entire family was his #1 priority. He was loved by all. He touched a lot of lives and will be greatly missed.

Grateful for sharing in his life are his wife, Annie Maria Freudig; son, Samuel Frederick Freudig and daughter who is due in October, Isabel Maria Freudig; parents, Frank and Betty Freudig, of Colonial Heights, VA; sisters, Teresa Mary Freudig, of Denver, CO and Nicole Freudig (Austin) Rutledge, of Chapel Hill, NC; brother, Phillip Weathers, of Virginia; mother-in-law, Susan Beyer, of Crooks, SD; father-in-law, Allan (Carol) Beyer, of Madelia, MN; brother-in-law, Allan (Alice) Beyer, of Crooks, SD; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Lamer, of Crooks, SD, Trisha (Jason) Beyer, of Brookings, SD and Miranda Romey, of Hot Springs, SD; step-sisters-in-law, Alana (Bill) Willis, of Salem, OR and Alicia (Travis) Joritz, of Bismarck, ND; Annie's grandparents, Allan and Alicia Beyer, of Sioux Falls; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
