2,1923, in Chicago, to Paul and Dorothy (nee Stoneroad) Reser, she died Tuesday, June 5,2001, at her home. Burial is in Grant Cemetery, Ingleside. As a girl, Betty lived in Crockett Estates, where she was enrolled in Big Hollow Grade School. She later attended and graduated from Grant Community High School in 1942. She married her high school sweetheart, Andrew McNally, who passed away on Feb.

24,1957. The couple is survived by their children, Randy McNally of Crystal Lake; Dorothy (Patrick) Dillon of Ingleside and Maureen (Robert) Swearingen of Carol Stream; grandchildren, John (Shannon) Dillon of Ingleside, Dana (Brad) Schoknecht of Mount Prospect, Kimberly (Matthew) Erbstoesser of Rolling Meadows, Kathryn Clark (James) Palmquist of Buffalo Grove and Nicholas Clark of Gurnee; and five great-grandchildren, to whom Betty was know as 'Double Robert Palmquist, Dylan Schoknecht, Coleton Dillon and twins, Andrew and Morgan Erbstoesser. She was married for a second time to John Kosar and the couple welcomed a son, John "Jack" Kosar to their family. Betty was the first female busdriver in Lake County, and had enjoyed gardening and baking birthday cakes for her family and many friends. She was a longtime memberof St.

Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside and the Fox Lake Garden Club. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands; son, John "Jack" Kosar; and sister, Martha Jean Closson. Masses would be appreciated by the family. Born Dec. 18,1907, in Itasca, to the late Frank and Alma Franzen, she passed away Sunday, June 10. 2001, at the Fountains of Crystal Lake. Mrs. Kossack had resided in Algonquin before moving to Willow Lake Estates of Elgin in 1979.

Prior to her retirement, she had been employed with Shurtlef Lumber Company and Block. She was a longtime member of the Algonquin Ladies Bridge Club. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Ruth Ward of Crystal Lake, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Kossack, hi 1989; brother, Alfred Franzen; and sister, Florence Bohling. Visitation will be from 10 am.

Myers. Inurnment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fox River Grove. Dr. Prince was the former Superintendent of Diamond Lake School District He received his Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois in 1965.

During Jim's teaching career he held the position of "Dean of the College of Education" at Niagra University in Niagra Falls, N.Y., and was recently awarded the prestigious academic title of "Professor Jim was also a decorated veteran, having served as a Navy Seabee in World War II and the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rita K. Prince; sons, Michael (Susan) Prince of Woodbridge, and James F. (Stacey) Prince of Yovktown, daughters, Rosanne (Scott) Prince Barton of Laurel, and Donna Prince of Seneca, N.Y.; brother, Robert J. Prince of Platteville, and 5 grandchildren.

Monday, at St. Colette Church, 3900 Meadows Drive, Rolling Meadows. Born June 21, 1979, in Arlington Heights, she died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in Charleston, III. Entombment will be in SL Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. A senior at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Shannon had aspirations of becoming a coach.

An accomplished sprinter and long- jumper, she had set a record at Rolling Meadows High School to the 100-meter dash and had qualified for the state meet in her senior year. Also as a senior, she had received the school's Dan Ayers Award for axcellence in academics and athletics. In addition, as a student at Harper Community College, Shannon was named an NJCAA Ail-American two years in a row and in her sophomore year was honored as the women's track and field team's most valuable athlete. Shannon touched many, many lives to other ways as well. At Rolling Meadows High School she participated to the Partners Program and worked closely with Down syndrome children, taking them ice skating or out to lunch, or just spending time with them one-on-one.

She also assisted senior citizens with clean-up and repair projects and participated in the local police department's DARE Program. Shannon loved Eastern Illinois University and being a part of the Alpha Phi sorority. She considered her sorority sisters to be her sisters for life. A truly beautiful person, Shannon's love of life and love of people will always be remembered, and she will be dearly missed. Shannon was the beloved daughter of Robert L.

Ill and Cynthia E. (nee Koch) McNamara; dearest sister of Robert L. McNamara; and cherished granddaughter of Margaret and the late Robert Koch, and Robert L. Jr. and the late Rose McNamara.

She was also loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George E. Thomas of Palatine A memorial service for George E. Thomas, 71, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.

Born July 2,1929, in Chicago, he died Saturday, June 16,2001, at his home. Interment will be private. Mr. Thomas was employed at Northrop Grumann for over 40 years. He was also a member of Special Olympics.

Born July 20,1941, in Johnston, to Robert C. and Margaret (nee Gingerich) Marthouse, he died Friday, June 15, 2001, at his residence. Interment will be private. From 1960 to 1991, Mr. Marthouse served to the U.S.

Navy, retiring with the rank of LL Commander, having served during the Vietnam War. Later, he became Director of Community Development at the College of Lake County, Grayslake. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (nee McDonald) of Grayslake, to whom he was married on Nov. 5,1997, in Waukegan; mother, Margaret Marthouse of Silver Springs, sons, Robert (Elvia) Marthouse III of Diamond Head, and David (Shannon) Marthouse of Durham, N.H.; daughters, Christine (Craig) Nelson of Grayslake and Melissa Marthouse of Monroe falls, Ohio; stepdaughter, Jessica Janca of Grayslake; stepson, Jason (Heather) Bronner to Ohio; sisters, NikM (Bob) Regan of Hilton Head, S.C., and Jodi (R.E.) Harold M. Hartwig of Lombard Funeral services for Harold M. Hartwig, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Road, Oakbrook Terrace. Born July 22,1910, in Chicago, she died Friday, June 15, 2001, to Lombard.

Interment will be private. Mr. Hartwig had worked for Commonwealth Edison for 48 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Lombard Community Senior Citizens Center. Harold is survived by his sons, Jerome C.
